Puzzle Coffee Shop
It is very nice little cafe on a back street that is quite cool and shaded. The coffee is a very good standard and offer a range of options you would expect in barista style place. Some really nice cakes etc too. Good WiFi so a good place to catch up on emails etc.
Zanzibar Coffee House Cafe
Nice atmosphere, variety of Zanzibar coffee to drink and you can buy tins of coffee there. Selection of cakes, very nice. Good service.Perfect breather when you need to rest and get out the buzz of stone town. Staff lovely and the place relatively clean.
Stone Town Cafe
Located in the heart of stone town it’s a favorite for many tourists. Frequently go there for a quick meal especially lunch. Their masala tea is the best and the sticky date cake is a must-have. Good value for price.
Mapacha Fast Food
Lovely place with tasty pizza, pastry and fresh juices. They also have good chocolate and cheesecake there. All food is in western style and very delicious! Nice place to relax and to enjoy food!
Mr. Kahawa
Mr Kahawa is an excellent choice for breakfast, lunch or dinner on Paje beach. It has a nice home made selection of dishes and sweets. The staff are friendly and the service is good. The WiFi works well and the restaurant also has a small shop.
Cafe Turqoise
Cafe is nicely tucked away in a quiet alley with modern, fresh ambience. Menu offers European style food, pricy. Good presentation and delicious but missing local touch. There are nicer places with sea view in the hood.
Delight Zanzibar
Nice place for breakfast, drink and hangout. A bit slower service but that is common for the most of the Zanzibar. Really nice view and atmosphere.
Baboo Beach Cafe
Unbeatable location by the sea, good italian coffee, excellent fresh fruit juices and nice food. You can sit all day and will never be hassled to leave. It’s cheap and a great place to sit.
Tamu Italian Ice Cream
In this place you can find some italian products such as pizza, ice cream and espresso. It is a cute little place in a courtyard that serves delicious gelato. Great flavours that you can enjoy inside the restaurant or sitting out in the square.
Cafe Foro
This is a pleasant and enjoyable place from which to watch Zanzibar life go by on land and on the sea. With sea front views and affordable food and drinks – try the spice tea, refreshing fruit juices and tuna burger at decent prices – you can enjoy the views of dhows, tourist boats and ferries going about their business on the sea side. And on the other side the colorfully-dressed women sweeping the night market forodhani debris away, parents watching children on the playground or hopeful entrepreneurs trying to interest tourists in their services.
